Opening of the light and sound installation dedicated to the anniversary of the liquidation of the ghetto in Grodzisk Mazowiecki

My field recordings from Grodzisk Mazowiecki, made mostly in the area of the ghetto liquidated by the Germans in February 1941, will be part of an installation presented by the ‘Nowa Kultura i Edukacja’ Association at 11 Listopada 39 Street.

In the words of the organizers:

We invite you to a unique event in Grodzisk Mazowiecki – the opening of a light and sound installation dedicated to the anniversary of the liquidation of the Ghetto in Grodzisk . This is an opportunity to commemorate the ghetto’s inhabitants and the history of a place that briefly, yet dramatically, witnessed great suffering.

The light installation was created by Inga Levi.

The sound installations were created by Piotr Dąbrowski and Joanna Szumacher.
