Resonant Cities (I): Field Recordings as a Tool for Learning about the City
On Friday, November 7th, I would like to invite you to Łódź for a discussion about field recordings with Maciej Adamiak, Justyna Anders-Morawska, Joanna Szumacher, and myself as part of the Resonant Cities project.
We will discuss the use of field recordings in archiving urban soundscapes, mapping neighbourhoods and suburban areas, the creative use of recordings in composition, and monitoring space through sound using machine learning.
